Oooooh what a day it has been to day !!!! Absolutely mind-blowing !!! Got up at around 6 am, took the bus at 7.20am for the station, reached the decided station at 8 am, all friends gathered up a good half an hour in advance of the 8.39 am train to our destination for rafting !!!! Got vacant seats onboard the train and off we went chitchatting anticipating about the day full of adventure !!!! And what an adventure it turned out to be !!!
At around 8.50 am, about 10 mins into our journey, hubby got a voicemail and that pretty much dictated the events for the rest of the day ! The weather was bad, the tides soaring and the rafting cancelled !!! After some discussions and deliberations we decided to head back to our home station and there, by 10 am, we were back to where we had started ! It was like we had been sleep riding on the train for ever ! The weather was bad in Tokyo too so options for the day stood pretty much limited. As we stood pondering what to do next, hubby meanwhile got me a triple chocolate ice-cream shake !!! And thereafter after browsing the art gallery at the station’s underground passageway and having a fun photo-shoot time we headed off for an early lunch at a famous South-Indian restaurant. And the yummy Dosas and Wadas made the day seem lot better 🙂 🙂 And more than that what made the day was the smile on hubby’s face after the sumptuous meal 🙂 🙂 I just love the way he beams in simple delights like this !
[ Back home, we had a wonderful time too 😉 ]
And later in the afternoon i dozed off to a deep slumber in his arms and in about 10 mins i had shifted myself so that he doesn’t have to remain in the same odd position for long which would have got quite painful otherwise. On waking up refreshed, hubby lovingly remarked how i had slept so peacefully…in his arms…for a whole 2 hrs !!! 🙂 🙂
